Tee Lee Lian

Managing Partner

Lee Lian is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate and Conveyancing practice group and has been in practice for more than 30 years with specialty in real estate work.  

Her vast experience in real estate matters ranges from representing the man in the street on residential conveyancing to complex real estate matters in advising corporations on their commercial property investments both on the buy-side and sell-side.  

 

Lee Lian is sought after by SMEs for assistance on their corporate loans and dealings with financial institutions and is very well-versed in transactions involving JTC, Singapore’s largest industrial landlord. 

Landlord and tenancy disputes are also a staple of Lee Lian’s practice. 

In addition to her track record in real estate matters, Lee Lian also advises clients who are in the midst of a divorce and need assistance on loan restructuring and transfers of properties following the divorce.  

 

EXPERIENCE

Lee Lian has a myriad of experience and impressive track record with deep industry knowledge of the real estate market in Singapore including:

  • sales of commercial real estate, including the sale of a Yishun coffee shop to the Chang Cheng group for $40 million in 2022 

  • sales of residential real estate 

  • tenancy matters for both commercial and residential properties, acting for both landlord and tenants

  • conducting legal due diligence on real estate properties as part of a wider corporate transaction

 

MEMBERSHIPS & APPOINTMENTS

In addition to being a member of the Law Society of Singapore and the Singapore Academy of Law, Lee Lian is active in the real estate legal profession. She is part of the ad-hoc committee working closely with the Singapore Land Authority in relation to the proposed transition to the Digital Conveyancing Portal.

She is also involved in the education of lawyers and was a Part B Facilitator of the Real Estate module carried out by the Singapore Institute of Legal Education.
